We all deserve the best dessert! This Guinness Chocolate cake is the best! I have been playing with this recipe and now it’s perfect! I would say the yogurt is a must because it locks in so much moisture. Your cake will remain moist for several days ….Enjoy the recipe!


GUINNESS CHOCOLATE CAKE

2 cups All-purpose flour
¾ cup Cocoa Powder
2 ½ tsp. Baking Soda
¾ cups Yogurt
2 Eggs
¾ cups Brown Sugar
1 cup White Sugar
1 cup Guinness
1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
10 tbsp Butter
Less than ¼ tsp Salt
Directions
- Add Guinness in a pot over low heat and add butter
- Once the butter melts in the Guinness, turn the stove off and allow this to cool all the way down
- In a bowl, sieve then mix flour, cocoa powder and baking soda then rest it to the side
- Add yogurt, sugar and eggs in a bowl then mix to combine
- Add the cooled Guinness and butter mixture to the yogurt, sugar and egg mixture
- Add the combined wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well
- Add vanilla extract
- Add the mixture to a lined and greased tin
- Bake for 50 mins at 150o or 30 mins at 350o or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out dry
- Cool for 15 mins
- Enjoy with homemade ice-cream
